SC Collaboration Suite

Assembly sets the pace.
For more cost-effective construction processes.

Companies work with individual processes, different systems and different levels of information. This makes collaboration more difficult especially when changes need to be implemented quickly and reliably across all project phases.

The SC Collaboration Suite connects design, procurement, fabrication, logistics and assembly on a central BIM collaboration platform across different systems. This creates a continuous workflow from the model through to assembly.

End-to-end BIM processes are the goal.

In practice, however, gaps still occur, particularly at the interfaces along the process chain.

One data source.
All the information.

Where is each component in the project process? Has it already been ordered, fabricated, coated, prepared for transport or is it already on site?

The SC Collaboration Suite brings together relevant information, documents and processing statuses at component level within the data model. This makes it possible to see where each component stands in the process and which steps have already been completed – across design, procurement, fabrication, logistics and assembly.

Instead of gathering information from different systems, lists and documents, teams work from a shared information base for project coordination.

BUSINESS IMPACT

Less effort. Greater transparency.

Better cost control.

The seamless information base creates the conditions needed to manage manufacturing and logistics more effectively according to demand, reduce the effort required for searching and coordination, and evaluate changes earlier.

CONSTRUCTION SITE FIRST

Think end-to-end workflows from the construction site.

Start with the real assembly requirement. Then work backwards: when must each component be transported, prepared, and manufactured?

One workflow.
Different trades and systems.

Existing CAD, BIM and specialist systems can continue to be used. Their information will be integrated into the central project environment.

Whether steel construction, timber construction, façade construction, hybrid construction or plant engineering: the SC Collaboration Suite is designed for cross-trade collaboration and follows the Open BIM approach. It connects BIM models with status, schedule, document and process information.

Developed from real-world project requirements.

The SC Collaboration Suite was developed over the course of a year in collaboration with a consortium of three industrial companies. Specific requirements from real-world project workflows in design, procurement, fabrication, logistics and assembly were incorporated directly into the development process.

The BIM platform is already being tested across different application scenarios and project sizes.
